The Scottish Valeting and Detailing Training Centre has officially opened its doors!
21 June, 2018
Saturday the 28th April 2018 was a proud day for the Scots, as they welcomed customers to see their trade counter for the first time. The day was a success with many people attending and a few competitions to take part in too!
The trade counter is open every first and last Saturday of every month from 9-1pm. The ribbon has also been cut for the training centre, and places are filling up fast! Similarly to the training courses held at head office, the two-day training will take place at the centre in Bathgate, and valeters and detailers will learn a mix of theoretical and practical training, and includes health and safety, valeting equipment, washing techniques and machine polishing.
The team is working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the first course, due to take place 27-28th June. Alistair will be the trainer there and the monthly course dates are currently being set for the year.
Here’s what Keith Ellwood, the franchisee who set it up, had to say: “After purchasing the new warehouse at Bathgate, we realised that there was a potential to develop a training centre for new and experienced valeters plus enthusiasts in Scotland. We feel that having a dedicated Training Centre in Scotland gives the trade and the public an opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment. “
We wish you all the best of luck!
